What Else Is Freedom ?

WHAT ELSE IS FREEDOM ?

What else is freedom, if not the release
From thoughts that haunt, and steal your peace?

What else, if not the birds in flight,
That see no borders from a height?

Like birds, the people free to move,
No race to show, no caste to prove,

No more forces, no more kills,
No more curfews in my hills,

No more ladies fearing men,
In shifts when working after ten,

No more living in the past,
Or struggling bonds that never last,

Free to pursue your dreams high,
No chaining norms to live by,

No outer sores, no mind disease,
No snobby bosses yet to please,

Is it a dream? Or hopeless bliss?
What else is freedom, if not this?
